Throughout my life I have had a real interest in music that developed into the technical side whenever I left school to study Music Technology at South Eastern Regional College, Bangor (North Down and Ards Institute at the time). It was here I started building a technical knowledge of audio engineering.
Leaving SERC I went to the University of Derby, England, to study Music Technology and Audio Systems Design, BSc. Whist enrolled at the university I started evolving my technical knowledge in audio and delving more into recording and acoustics.
After leaving university I started developing an in interest for sound within films and recording sounds in the natural world, from environments to individual animal species. In October 2015, I enrolled in a Wildeye International Wildlife Film-making School course entitled, “Introduction to Wildlife Sound Recording”, held by Chris Watson, Jez Riley-French and Piers Warren.
Alongside recording, I have a keen interest in Audio Post-Production for music and film and at present, building a sound library to be used for sound design.
